Strengthen the support and social rehabilitation of those affected by Tuberculosis

The World Fund for the Fight against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria finds that a comprehensive solution to the problem experienced by poor families affected by tuberculosis involves good coordination between sectors, creating synergies that make it possible to create the desired impact by jointly addressing certain social health determinants such as work and the environment – in this case, decent housing – , in addition to the support of peers and nutritional support for the most vulnerable contacts of the person affected by MDR TB.  The Project is carried out through a partnership between Prisma, Partners in Health (Socios en Salud), and the Association for the Defense of Those Affected by Tuberculosis in Peru (ADATUPE).
