Kusiayllu “Happy Community” – Project on nutritional rehabilitation at home for children with acute malnutrition

    In 1992, Prisma started a new strategy for children under three years of age with acute malnutrition, involving the participation of health promoters trained to carry out nutritional surveillance, house by house. This program was called Kusiayllu, and it formed part of the PANFAR Project.

    Objective: To improve the health and nutrition status of mothers and children aged 0 to 3 years in rural and marginal urban areas of the country.

    Source of funding: USAID

    Project area: 50 district centers nation-wide.

    Duration: January 1991 – January 2000
