Innovation for Food Security and Sovereignty in the Andean Region – ISSANDES

    This project contributes to improving the food security of vulnerable rural populations. It focuses on building the capacities of the producers and their families so that their economic activities may lead to an increase in employment and higher family incomes, and result in a better family diet and reduction of malnutrition.

     

    Objective: To strengthen agricultural innovation for food security at different levels (local, regional, and national) in the Andean Region, in response to the needs of vulnerable rural groups.

    Project area: Districts of Yauli, Nuevo Occoro, Ascensión, and Huando in the province of Huancavelica, and Santa Ana in the province of Castrovirreyna, all in the Huancavelica Region.
