FSTT – Agrosilves Villa El Salvador – From the urban vegetable garden to the table

    Implemented to increase the production, productivity and profitability of the AGROSILVES producers using the production chains approach.

    To develop and carry out the activities, we worked with several important partners and support organizations, such as: the Municipality of Villa El Salvador (VES) in its support of the trade fairs; the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) in training for processing; Servicio Nacional de Seguridad Agraria (SENASA) with the support in marketing procedures and management; the INPELSA slaughterhouse with its support in slaughtering the pigs and help in marketing; the NGO Ciudad Saludable with its experience in the disposal of excreta; and Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM) with artificial insemination, among others.

    Objective: To promote the linkaging of local stakeholders by preparing a participatory diagnosis for the planning and management of policies and strategic actions, improving their capacities for production and organization by preparing a situational analysis and identification of the critical points in the production chain and market access.

    Project area: San Isidro Labrador – Cerro Lomo de Corvina – Agricultural Zone of Villa El Salvador.
