Farm Production and Market Connection – DAP

The project sought to increase the incomes of 6,967 families with food insecurity living in the economic corridors of Ancash, Cusco, and Apurímac. It focused on implementing training, organization, and commercial linking activities for producers who, on average, possess less than 3 hectares of land, who spend more than 55% of their total incomes on food, and who live in areas with the production potential to supply the products that are in demand in the markets.

Objective: To increase the selling value of producers and farmers with food insecurity by creating better access to markets; and to increase the production yield value of the market-oriented crops.

Project area: Ancash, Cusco and Apurímac.

Source of funding: AID Title II

    Duration: 2002 – 2008
