Educanimando

    Educanimando is a program designed for The Inca Kola Foundation, resulting from a common interest in contributing to the integral formation of children in public schools for early childhood education and elementary level by promoting healthy lifestyles.

    The program is a methodological proposal for the promotion of learning through movement and physical activity, by training teachers and social promoters to motivate recreation, art and play through workshops, games and recreational activities, as well as providing educational material. All the work done in these core topics is to ensure better development of the children and contribute to their greater access to opportunities.

    Educanimando places emphasis on creating strategic partnerships, capacity building and providing education materials for the schools and teachers as facilitators of the promotion of learning through movement and physical activity, using a recreational methodological to obtain healthy lifestyles for the children who become agents of change in their homes and community.

    Since 2014, Educanimando has been implementing its methodology and it has obtained unprecedented coverage thanks to the use of internet and social networks. In only one year, the project had a significant traffic of users in the network: it had as many as 17 thousand followers and the number has increased.

    Digital communication with the teacher has proven to be a popular system with them. It has enable us to get a better idea of their concerns so that we can use the feedback we receive from them to improve our methodology accordingly.

    Educanimando won first place for The Inca Kola Foundation in the category of Governance and Civil Society of the VII Prize Peru 2021 for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development in the year 2010.

    Objective: To promote healthy lifestyles in physical activity for children from three to nine years of age in public education programs and schools in selected areas.
