Child Nutrition in Puno

    The project sought to help reduce chronic child malnutrition and nutritional anemia in under-three-year olds in the districts of Antauta, Ajoyani, and the community of Queracucho.

    OBJECTIVES:

    1. To improved family health and nutrition practices in order to achieve healthy families.
    2. To strengthen healthcare services for the pregnant woman and child, to ensure proper control of the child’s growth and development.
    3. To improved housing conditions in order to support healthy practices and achieve healthy housing.
    4. To strengthen the management of local governments, organizations and families for the development of production projects that will make it possible to improve family food security.
    5. To strengthen local health and nutrition management.

    Project area: Districts of Antauta and Ajoyani – Puno.

    Duration: 3 years, 2011 to 2013
