The project contributes to strengthening the system of collection, consolidation, and commercialization of inorganic waste, to reduce the rapid increase in the volume of solid waste of plastic material (PET, hard plastic) occurring in the circuit that covers the areas of Cusco, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and Machupicchu.

The Asociación Civil Turismo Cuida made up of eight institutions interested in reducing PET plastic contamination have engaged to set up a plastic management chain generated by their services.
