He is also the principal investigator of Prisma, where he has trained over <strong>500 researchers<\/strong> (Peruvian and foreign) in biomedicine, making him one of the <strong>main mentors in Peru<\/strong>, according to the <strong>Fogarty International Center<\/strong> and the <strong>National Institutes of Health &#8211; NIH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prisma.org.pe\/investigacion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BOB-GILMAN_v2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3807\" src=\"https:\/\/www.prisma.org.pe\/investigacion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BOB-GILMAN_v2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"524\" height=\"393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.prisma.org.pe\/investigacion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BOB-GILMAN_v2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.prisma.org.pe\/investigacion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BOB-GILMAN_v2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.prisma.org.pe\/investigacion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/BOB-GILMAN_v2.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 524px) 100vw, 524px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the more than 30 years he has dedicated to research, he has made more <strong>than 700 publications<\/strong> focused on <strong>diarrheal diseases, tuberculosis, parasitic infections, tropical diseases, autism, among others<\/strong>, in high impact journals such as The Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, Clinical Infectious Disease, Journal of Epidemiology.<\/p>\n<p>Bob Gilman, as he is affectionately called, is one of the founders of Prisma, and his legacy has marked a milestone in our history and institutional culture.\u00a0<strong>Prisma has an important area dedicated to research that concentrates 35.9% of the projects executed during the year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>A special and well-deserved recognition!<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A researcher, teacher and mentor who has dedicated over 30 years to research, publishing more than 700 research papers and training over 500 student researchers.
