Abstract:
International Plan entered into a partnership with Prisma to develop jointly a project of food security and nutrition in its project area (Piura) with funding from Dutch Cooperation.

The project was originally designed to last 5 years, but because of the international financial crisis in 2008, it was reduced to 2.5 years.

Objective:
To improve the food security and nutrition of the children and their families in 30 rural communities of Piura in a period of 2.5 years.

Source of funding:
Dutch International Development Cooperation, executed in partnership with International Plan.

Project area:
30 communities in the districts of Cura Mori, La Arena, Castilla, Tambo Grande, Las Lomas, and Miguel Checa in Piura.

Duration:
November 2007 – May 2010
